Baby Steps Vintage Photo Shoot
I am lucky enough to be taking part in a collaboration with vintage make-up and hair artist, Fiona Poliri. The ongoing project involves taking some 1940s-style family photo shoots. I have met a number of mums and their children through the project. The project's main aim is to take photos of glamorous vintage-dressed ladies who breastfeed their children. Once the breastfeeding part of the session is over I also take some family shots of the mother and child together too.
This particular shoot was with Danielle and her son Luca. I like to focus in on a child's details - little feet can all too quickly grow into big feet and their tiny beauty quickly forgotten.
Danielle brought along a traditional style romper suit for Luca. I felt it made him look like a British prince from the 1940s, which incidentally is how Prince George was also dressed when in the limelight when little.
Time for some formal shots, with Luca on Danielle's lap.
Luca, was as good as gold throughout the shoot. However he had only just taken his first steps a few days ago and was eager to continue using his new mode of transport. It must be exciting getting to explore the world on two legs for the first time. I was more than happy to help capture some of his first explorations.
I am a Glasgow-based family photographer and a mobile photographer - so I come to you to take the photos. I shoot maternity, baby and family photography sessions. Sessions can range from a more styled look to a 'lifestyle' session, showing off home and hearth. If you are interested in booking a photography session please contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by using the 'contact me to book' button at the top of this page.
