Sweet Baby Photography Sitter Session
"Babies should be classified as an antidepressant. It's pretty hard to be in a bad mood around a 5-month-old baby" - Jim Gaffigan
"I got a hundred bucks says my baby beats Pete's baby. I just think genetics are in my favour." - Andre Agassi
During a recent visit to friends in Devon I was fortunate enough to be able to have a mini photography session with my goddaughter Matilda. Matilda had just turned 8 months old. At 8 months Matilda had already mastered sitting upright by herself - another milestone to celebrate and capture on the road between birth and becoming a 1 year old. The house we were staying in had a large beautiful garden - the obvious choice of location for the photo session. Matilda has also mastered waving at people - which she does a lot....be it with her hand or a piece of dried grass... She's a friendly wee sole.
I also took photos of wee Matilda in front of the rose of Granny G. Matilda's great grandmother had unfortunately passed away before Matilda had been born, and it felt good to see that in some way they could still be a part of each other's life. A pink rose had been planted in memory of her.
I also took a shot of Matilda as she attempted crawling. Not quite there yet - so near, and yet so far - shuffling along was about her stage of learning how to move around. My parting shot was of Matilda's big beautiful eyes. What a sweetie.
