Vintage Floral Mother and Baby Photography Session, Glasgow
I teamed up with a vintage make-up artist to take some photos for her project. Her project is to take breastfeeding photos in order to set up a website and she has a few other plans to help promote breastfeeding and the support that is available. Whilst not sharing the breastfeeding photos on my blog, I am sharing the other photos I took during these sessions - lovely Glasgow family portraits of mums and their children with a vintage twist.
Two of the lovely ladies I met were Philllipa and her baby daughter Rowan. Phillipa bottle feeds Rowan with expressed breast milk. The two photos below were snapped before the session started.
I like to focus in on tiny feet that one day will be able to travel wherever they wish. But for the moment they are more content on Mum's lap whilst feeding.
Both ladies were looking lovely in floral dresses and Phillipa had a flower in her hair, courtesy of Fiona.
Rowan was in a great mood and was smiling away at her dad who was behind the scenes making her smile and laugh.
"Real love moves freely in both directions. Don't waste your time on anything else." - Cheryl Strayed
"None of the truest things in life - like love or faith - was arrived at by thinking; indeed, one could almost define the things that mattered as the ones that come as suddenly as thunder." - Pico Iyer
I am a Glasgow-based family photographer and I am a mobile photographer - so I come to you to take the photos. I shoot maternity, baby and family photography sessions. Sessions can range from a more styled look to a 'lifestyle' session, showing off home and hearth.
