15.09.21 - Sunny Rouken Glen Park Family Photography Session

A Family Photoshoot with the Grandkids
This family are part of my family – my husband’s parents and his nephew and niece. My husband came with me too as it was great to catch up with everyone. Why don't you stand in some photos too? No thanks, my husband said. Typical.

A Difficult Customer?
Naaahhhh! Often when taking pictures of your own family it can be more difficult. James was a wee bit reluctant - a bit wriggly, a bit bored, wanting to screw his eyes tight shut. He came out of shell pretty quickly though, especially when posing for a photo involved having a nice lie down in the grass.

Big Sister
Lucy, his big sister, is a star pupil when it comes to posing. She's a gorgeous wee girl and her sunny personality comes through in the photos.

Super Lucy
It was Lucy herself that decided to pose using a tree stump as a prop. It resulted in a fabulous photo with super hero pose included.

Holding Hands
Getting a photo that shows the close relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is lovely. Holding hands is a lovely way of doing this.

Natural posing
James was climbing a tree and it proved the perfect place to frame him in a shot. Letting children play during a session is a big part of enjoying the shoot and getting great pictures.

A Shady Bench
Finding somewhere shady on a sunny day can be difficult. Shade is really important in getting great photos. Rouken Glen has a lovely wooded area, where we found the perfect bench for a few family group photos.

The Woods
As well as concentrating on the family themselves it's nice to show how lovely the surroundings are too at Rouken Glen, as with this shot surrounded by trees.
